Shocktillyoudrop.com caught up with director Stuart Gordon, and it looks like the proposed Re-Animator remake may have been announced prematurely...

Stuart told the site that, "I contacted Brian [Yuzna] and he didn't know anything about it. I said, 'What's going with the remake?' And he asked, what remake?"

I guess we'll see...

First Photos from Herbert West: Re-Animator: The Series...

Fangoria.com got an exclusive first look at the forthcoming Herbert West: Re-Animator TV series being developed by William Butler's Transition Films...

Butler tells fangoria that, "The main thing we want to convey is that the series focuses far more on all of the stories of H.P. Lovecraft. It's much more of a monster du jour show rather than just the
Re-Animator storyline, which will be the B plot."

Enter the Sleeping Deep...

The Sleeping Deep, a screenplay written by Jeffrey Blake Palmer, has been getting quite a bit of attention lately having already won the 2008 H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival Deep One Screenwriter Award and placing as a finalist at the 2009 StoryPros International Screenplay Contest, and it looks like it will only gain momentum now that Jeff is producing promotional materials in the form of screen and camera tests…

(Matthew Magennis and Sheilah Morrison)

Jeff and a talented group of individuals including actors, musicians and artists have been shooting scenes from the screenplay, creating music and artwork and posting them to the films production blog, which you can find here, in hopes of securing funds for a feature…

(Johnnie Rodriguez and Danielle Kerley)

A few of the many people currently working on the project include John Tulin (cinematographer), Mike Nash (concept artist), Shawn P. Russell (composer), Ron Elwell (as Kevin), Matthew Magennis (as Eric), Esther Mulligan (as Janice) and Sheliah Morrison (as Miss Bell). Evil Dead: The Musical in Ohio...

Evil Dead: The Musical will make its run in my home state of Ohio May 8 - June 14 at the Beck Center for the Arts in
Lakewood...

I will be attending at some point...

For Immediate Release:

Evil Dead: The Musical
May 8 – June 14, 2009
Studio Theater
Based on Sam Raimi's 1980s cult classic films
Book and Lyrics by George Reinblatt
Music by Frank Cipolla, Christopher Bond, Melissa Morris, and George Reinblatt
Directed by Scott Spence

What can go wrong when five college students break into an abandoned cabin in the woods? Apparently a whole heck of a lot! They unleash evil spirits, turn into demons… and sing show tunes! Sam Raimi's cult classic 1980s films are brought to life in this hilarious, campy show that will make you crave 'live theater' again. With songs such as "
All the Men in my Life keep getting Killed by Candarian Demons" and "Do The Necromonicon" - Evil Dead is bursting with more farce than a Monty Python skit!
