New Whisperer in Darkness review...

Twitch reviews the award winning new film, The Whisperer in Darkness! Check it out here...

"...one doesn't need 150 million dollars, nor Tom Cruise, to make a very good HPL adaptation. Besides, their actors' motivation is enthusiasm, not dollars, and this clearly shows in every frame of the film."

Whisperer wins...

My last post on Unfilmable.com (see: February 26) was to announce that the HPLHS's Call of Cthulhu follow-up, The Whisperer in Darkness had been completed, and now, Sean Branney tells us that Whisperer has won its first award at the SFF-Rated film festival in Athens, Greece! The film, which will also screen at the Belfast Film Festival (Belfast, Northern Ireland) on April 1st, the Imagine Film Festival in Amsterdam and the CPH PIX Festival in Copenhagen, Denmark (both in April), won the audience choice award for best director...

In other Whisperer news, the Houston Press interviewed filmmakers Sean and Andrew Leman the other day, which you can check out here. Some great behind-the-scenes images from the creation of the Mi-Go accompany the interview...

Look for stateside screening announcements soon...

We're still here...

Unfilmable.com is still alive and flopping about, we just ran into some computer problems that have now been resolved. Some of you may have also noticed that the unfilmable.com URL no longer works, that too will resume once I square away the bill, but the site can still be accessed through the blogspot URL...

So look for site wide updates in the coming days, and as always, thanks for your continued support...

Sad News

If this post in Coming Attractions is correct, even with James Cameron and Cruise on board, Guillermo del Toro couldn't overcome Universal's nervousness to get a go ahead for Mountains of Madness.

Movie Links

Hi all.

In addition to writing occasionally on Craig's blog, I do film reviews and collect links on just about everything. And it's that time of year when I get to look at new links for a review book. I'm also collecting them with intentions of one day posting them here.

So if any of you know of any movie sites you believe deserve more notice than they get, please email me at ultharcat@gmail.com. I'll see if I can't get them added to the book, and if nothing else they'll go in an ever expanding list of links I have which I will eventually put forth here (assuming I can ever finish the darn thing).
