Oblivion, an Opera by Kyle Gullings...

I'm really late on this one (sorry Kyle), but I still want to get the word out...

Kyle Gullings has composed a new one-act opera based on Lovecraft's Ex Oblivione that's currently being performed in Washington, DC as part of the 2010 Capital Fringe Festival! Tonights screening is at 10 PM, with the final performance on Sunday at 4:30 PM...

Directed by Sasha Brätt, with music and libretto by Kyle Gullings, Oblivion stars James Rogers (as Howard), Rachel Barham (as Sonia, his wife), Alexander Wolniak (as Philip, their son/Sage 3), Melissa Kornacki (as Doctor Greene/Sage 2) and Christine Gahagan (as Nurse/Sage 1)...

Tickets cost $15 and are available here. You can also visit Kyles official site for further information...

About the Opera: Howard is dying. While he suffers through an unexpected illness, prophetic dreams challenge his attachment to life. A chamber opera adapted from a story by H. P. Lovecraft, Oblivion confronts the threshold between existence and whatever follows...

(Thanks to Kyle Gullings)
