Murfreesboro Filmmaker Nathan Fisher to Premiere His New Film The Island

Fresh from the success of his 2009 H. P. Lovecraft adaptation Murfreesboro filmmaker Nathan Fisher presents his newest film Beyond the Wall of SleepThe Island. Set in a post apocalyptic world of unknown time and place it tells the story of one man as his desire for human contact comes into direct conflict with his will to survive. By the standards of the world he inhabits, Tom resides in the lap of luxury, but when a young woman enters his world, he has to answer the question "What makes a life worth living".

Shot on location in Murfreesboro, TN it features an original soundtrack by local artists including Don Coyote, The Reverend Jim Elrod, Sweatervest , Jon Gower, and Josh Tannehill.

Nathan Fisher has been a fixture in the Murfreesboro arts and music scene for over 20 years, perhaps best known as the frontman for seminal Murfreesboro punk rock band Doctor Gonzo, he is also the voice of the Nashville Rollergirls.

The October screening will feature other selected shorts.
