Actor Erik A. Williams got in touch with us (after learning of our Statement of Randolph Carter post) about another Lovecraftian film, one that he plays the lead in, called Waiting Fear. According to Erik, the film is based on The Waiting Fear, a novelette combining elements of Lovecraft's work written by filmmaker and Lovecraft fan, Jason "Loki" Janes...
Written and directed by Jason Loki Janes (who also stars), co-written by Philip Gavigan and starring Erik A. Williams and Jessica Cameron, the film revolves around a struggling painter who finds a mysterious painting in the basement of an art academy, and is afterwards haunted by nightmares of a man in black, who chases him through his dreams night after night...
When the painter finds that the man in black is alive and real in the waking world, he desperately seeks to discover the true nature of his pursuer, and the hidden power of the painting that haunts his dreams...
Plans are underway to develop the short as either a series, or a feature length film. The original short is available for purchase through createspace.com...
Watch the trailer below...
(Thanks to Erik A. Williams)
