Alien prequel in 3D... spoke with art director Roger Christian recently and he had this to say about Ridley Scott's Alien prequel...

"Ridley's doing the next Alien in 3D. He has a very clear understanding of where this should go. They kind of stopped dead one of the greatest horror franchises there's ever been, and it had legs to go on. So I'm hoping he'll revive another three. The world certainly wants it, and the fans want it - everybody."

I look forward to hearing more as the film gets closer to production, as Ridley Scott's Alien is one of the greatest examples of Lovecraftian horror ever filmed...

  1. remakes, prequels, sequels and reboots. It's hard to get excited about most of them, but I'm starting to get really giddy about the potential in this. BR and Alien are still the SF benchmarks for me, and the thought of Scott doing this and then his adaptation of The Forever War make me very happy. I think Scott will try hard to do something unexpected with this. To make it genuinely scary again.
